DELHI INTERNATIONAL RENEWABLE ENERGY CONFERENCE (DIREC)
DELHI International Renewable Energy Conference (DIREC) is the fourth international event that will be held in India from the 27th October to 29 October 2010. ENERGY INDABA 2010 – A Time for Innovation, Solutions and Alternatives is the event theme chosen by the Steering Programme Advisory Committee for ENERGY INDABA 2010.
The flagship African energy event, is an annual event on the Africa business calendar with a specific focus on exploring solutions for a new energy future for Africa. With the recent ever increasing world-wide attention to Energy, ENERGY INDABA 2010, provides an ideal platform to encourage debate as well as creating the stage for a networking climate conducive for companies and individuals to interact.
The event forms part of the African business calendar, which will promote sustainable development initiatives across the African continent.

ISES Solar World Congress 2009
The 29th international congress on solar energy will be held in Johannesburg from the 11th to the 14th of October 2009 at the Sandton Convention Centre. The theme of the congress will be
"Renewable Energy: Shaping Our Future".
The focus will be on the role that renewable energy can play in the sustainable development of poor and rural communities in Africa. The congress will bring together international, regional and local experts to discuss the role that renewable energy can play in solving the global energy crisis.
The programme for the congress will cover the following areas:

- Solar electricity

- Solar energy and society
